Just returned this morning at 1:00 a.m. after a week in the Outer Banks of North Carolina and 2 days in New Orleans, returning home for a mere 12 hours for refueling in between trips. I can’t wait to blog about ALA in NOLA! But wait, I must. I owe Laura Bush and company a report on my trip since an IMLS grant paid for most of it, and I owe my department a report on the sessions I attended, which should benefit us in our current restructuring process. But there’s so much to say! Not only about the meat of my trip–the conference–but about the wonders of Bourbon Street, muffulatta, Trombone Shorty, Emeril’s Delmonico, hurricanes (the drink), beignets, gumbo, and paddle boats, barges, and ferries, oh my! More later…(I do have my own photos, too, but they have to wait, as well.)
